How's everything going with your plans for the holidays? Do you have any Christmas traditions that you look forward to?
I don't know if anyone can be as behind as I am... It's December 22nd and I'm only starting my Christmas baking for friends and family TODAY... Yikes!
The most fun family tradition we had when I was growing up, was when my Mom, Auntie E, two sisters and I, would get together to have a Christmas cookie-baking marathon... There wasn't a surface in our house that wasn't covered with all kinds of cookies and treats to share with family, friends, my Dad's business employees, as well as the wonderful care workers at my Oma's nursing home.
My cousin (Auntie E's daughter) recently gave me the photo below of my Mom, me and my Auntie E in our kitchen, where most of our fab & festive Christmas-baking extravaganzas happened, with seasonal music blaring on the stereo, flour dust in the air and icing everywhere... Such heart-warming memories!

When the pandemic happened in 2020 and Christmas gatherings were severely curtailed, I got the idea to resurrect our family tradition of Christmas cookie baking, so that I could still celebrate the season with friends and family, by infusing my love and festive energy into the treats for them to enjoy, which made me feel like I was a part of their celebration.
My baking was such a hit in 2020, I've continued my version of our family Christmas cookie-baking tradition every year since... It's soooo much fun!

Shown above are some of the holiday treats that I made in 2021.
With only a DAY AND A HALF to bake this year's creations before making my deliveries on the 24th, it'll be interesting to what I come up with... I'll keep you posted :-)
Oh... And I almost forgot to mention, one of my other favourite things about this holiday season is Christmas light-looking... For me, it captures the magic of the season beautifully.
Whatever your holiday traditions are, my greatest wish is for you to enjoy this festive time of the year, to your hearts absolute delight!

When this deluxe, Limited Edition Bracelet Gift Set was released as one of "Oprah's Favourite Things" in 2014, unsurprisingly, it was incredibly popular.
One of the gift sets that Suzie Q's received was put "on hold" for a customer, who never returned to pick it up at the time, and it was subsequently stashed away and forgotten about... So imagine the happy surprise at finding it in 2023, NINE years after its release!

Each of the 12 beads that represent the "12 Days of Christmas" are made of sterling silver and 14 KT, along with Swarovski crystals and Swarovski pearl tear drop, which all slide onto a sterling silver, Swarovski crystal bangle.
